Full Time Branch Manager & Assistant Manager – Kidlington Branch

We are looking for a full time Branch Manager & an Assistant Manager to run our new branch coming soon in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, OX5 1JE

As a Branch Manager you will be responsible for:

• Efficient daily running of the branch
• Achievement of sales & margin targets
• Dealing with customers (including many retail customers), company personnel and suppliers
• Staff efficiency
• Problem solving
• Stock Management
• Branch Security
• Health & Safety compliance
• Branch and company property appearance, condition and effectiveness
• Staff training/recruitment, appearance, timekeeping and discipline
• Customer payments
• Personnel management
• Compliance with company policies
• Efficient documentation and administration
• Control of branch expenditure.
• Staff, customer and self-motivation
• Daily cash management
• Achievement of daily sales targets
• Support branch sales representative
• Support and implement all company decisions
• Manage in an entrepreneurial way
• Optimise staff levels by managing absences and holidays
• Hold regular branch meetings
• Set and maintain high standards
• Establish, encourage and manage teamwork
• Customer visits
• Respond to company, staff or customer requests within a time period acceptable to the person making the request
• Ensure good communication between branch and Head Office
• Maintain and improve sales margins
• Delegation
• Promote the company at all times by example
• Management of customer debt in conjunction with head office
• Ensure credit notes are issued promptly
• Review stock profiles on a regular basis
• Introduce weekly, monthly and annual stock checks as per schedule

As an Assistant Manager you will be responsible for assisting the Branch Manager and are required to have:

• Previous experience within the motor trade spares industry essential
• Good communication skills/Excellent telephone manner
• Good all round knowledge of automotive parts, and suppliers
• Computer literate
• A proactive all-rounder with a willingness to learn new systems and meet sales targets. Must have a valid driving licence and a can-do attitude.
